Sting Eucliffe's bat made good contact with the ball as he has many times in his career, but this time it added his name to an elite list of players with 1500 hits.

"This is a tremendous honor. You grow up dreaming of becoming a Pro Baseball Experience player, but never did I ever think I would get to this point," an emotional Eucliffe said after the game.

The Cancun second baseman went to the plate 4 times and racked up 2 hits to gain the honor. But the Toros couldn't pull off a win -- they fell to the Indianapolis Apex, 4-1.

"It certainly would have been nice to have won, but tomorrow is another day. I'm going to enjoy this moment with my friends and family," Eucliffe said.

Lifetime Eucliffe is hitting .287 and has totaled 144 home runs.
