Flamingos Pull Out Late Win, 5-4
|
Brew City got a terrific game from right fielder Jared Keeso. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Florida, 5-4. Keeso went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Florida reliever Reid Johnson picked up the win, raising his record to 2-1. Maru Zensky was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Flamingos to 35-22.
Homer Simpson came through with a big-time hit for Florida. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
In postgame comments, Simpson said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
