Bears Dump Anchorage, 4-1, to Win 4th in a Row
The Brew City Bears downed the Anchorage Wheelers, 4-1, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Stellar pitching by Xavier Zickafoose had a lot to do with it. The left-hander, who is tied for 6th in the MiLPBE with a 1.28 WHIP, handcuffed his opponent all game. Zickafoose picked up the win for Brew City, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 5-6. The second-place Bears have won 4 straight games.

The Wheelers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Bears going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old right fielder Jared Keeso came to the plate. Keeso hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch sinker from Anchorage hurler Wham A Geddon. It was Keeso's 12th double of the year.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Keeso after the game.
