The Boise Raptors besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Buffalo third baseman D.W. Dogmaple by beating the Surge, 8-5, at Hammond Park. Dogmaple went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Earning his 2nd save for Boise was Bug Chingus. The Surge, at 3-9, have stumbled out of the gate.

With Boise leading 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Romain Gauthier hit a 2-run single off Buffalo pitcher Lieutenant Dudz. It put the Raptors ahead 5-2.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Gauthier.
