Flamingos Suffer One-Run Loss at Amarillo
|
Amarillo Armadillos starter Gritty [BOT] pitched well against the Florida Flamingos at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites, leading his team to a win, 5-4. The win was credited to Tayalamp Battalemo in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Lilyin Blue took the loss. Trongle Man [BOT] earned the save, his 2nd.
Da Minion DA GOAT drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances for Amarillo. The 23-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Lilyin Blue. It was his 53rd RBI of the season.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Amarillo manager .
Amarillo is now 35-24, Florida 29-30.
