Bears Best Firehawks in Pitching Duel
The Brew City Bears and California Firehawks put on a pitchers' duel.

Brew City starter Professor Croakwell put a stranglehold on the California offense. The right-hander had complete command of his circle change in leading the Bears to a 2-0 win. Brew City reliever Paj Bobba was the winner. His record is now 5-4. The losing pitcher was John Valek IV.

The Bears got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Lara Croft. For the game, Croft was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Brew City a 2-0 lead.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Croakwell.

The Bears, at 35-24, sit in third place in the West Division.
