Ballion II Leads Ranas to 7-5 Win Over Armadillos
The Puerto Rico Ranas defeated the Amarillo Armadillos, 7-5, at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Puerto Rico first baseman Ulysses Ballion II had a superb performance. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Kerr Mitt [BOT] in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Tayalamp Battalemo took the loss. The save went to Daniel Armstrong, his 5th this season.

Ballion II had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 0-1 forkball from Tayalamp Battalemo, he banged a 3-run home run to center, giving the Ranas a 6-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Ballion II.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Ballion II told the Puerto Rico News.

The Ranas improved to 27-32.
