At Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium, the Puerto Rico Ranas and State College Swift Steeds were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The State College Swift Steeds grabbed a win, 15-3, over the Puerto Rico Ranas at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. State College center fielder Faye Tafo-Felia went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Derek Kirkland, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-4. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 2 and walking 1.

State College used the hitting of Dusty Backstop to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Swift Steeds on top, 12-3. For the game, Backstop had 1 home run and 3 singles in 6 at-bats.

"We got our butts kicked," said Puerto Rico manager .

The first-place Swift Steeds have a one-game lead in their division.
