The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Louisville Lemurs, 7-4, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. The win was due in part to third baseman Joe Kirkland, who went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Chih-Wei Lee, the winning pitcher, is now 5-5. Kansas City grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Kirkland hit a grand slam home run off Michel de Nostredame. His 4th home run of the season put the Hepcats out in front, 6-2.
