The Cancun Toros turned back the Detroit Demons, 5-4, at Demon's Lair at Laser Park. Feka Ohi Kau, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Demons fall to 4-8 and continue to sputter in the early going.

Cancun needed the clutch hitting of Victor Cortez to notch the win. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Toros on top, 5-4. For the game, Cortez had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
