Swift Steeds Shut Out Ranas, 2-0
|
In a well-pitched game between the State College Swift Steeds and the Puerto Rico Ranas, pitcher Kyle Johnson was superb. The State College right-hander helped his team win, 2-0. Bandit Keith notched his 5th save in 10 chances. State College has a record of 26-34, placing them third in the East Division.
The outcome was still in doubt in the top of the ninth inning. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Puerto Rico trailing 2-0, Bandit Keith needed to get a big out. On a first pitch fastball, Jeremiah Bullfrog grounded out, putting the kibosh on a potential rally.
