Louisville Hands Kansas City 5-3 Defeat
|
With second baseman Kasane Teto leading the charge, the Louisville Lemurs defeated the Kansas City Hepcats, 5-3, at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. Teto, who leads the MiLPBE in triples with 3, went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Adeline King earned the win for Louisville. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 4-4. Greg Evil picked up the save for Louisville, his 3rd of the year.
Teto had a timely hit for Louisville in the top of the seventh. With Louisville trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-0 screwball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 5-3, Louisville.
Teto attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
Kansas City, at 25-36, has lost 5 straight.
