5-1 Loss Extends Brew City Losing Streak
The Amarillo Armadillos beat the Brew City Bears, 5-1, at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. Amarillo center fielder Kries Von Kriestalhauser had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. Wayne Finch Summers earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The Bears, at 27-34, have lost 10 straight games.

The Armadillos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Brendan Shimmy. For the game, Shimmy went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 7th double of the season gave Amarillo a 3-0 lead.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Shimmy.
