Louisville Wins, 9-1
|
Good production from left fielder Satchel O'Richards helped the Louisville Lemurs topple the Puerto Rico Ranas, 9-1. O'Richards went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Lemurs. The winning pitcher was Cornelius George-Braxton. He tossed 103 pitches over 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The victory gives Louisville a record of 39-24.
Jhonkensy Kwanzaa, the 21-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kwanzaa contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Louisville up, 2-1.
"It was a solid team effort," said O'Richards after the game.
