Kingpins Roll Past Ranas, 6-0

A good performance from left fielder Boots Poffenberger helped the Chicago Kingpins defeat the Puerto Rico Ranas, 6-0. Poffenberger went 2-3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Kingpins. Chicago pitcher Ouro Kronii [BOT] got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Ottov Yeoj [BOT] got the loss. Chicago is now 31-33, while Puerto Rico is 18-46.
The Ranas had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Kingpins going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old catcher Emilian Vega came to the plate. Vega hit a 2-run double on a 1-0 knuckle curve from Puerto Rico hurler Ottov Yeoj [BOT]. It was Vega's 7th double of the year.
"We certainly don't want to get used to losing," said losing manager .
