Kingpins Suffer 7-4 Home Defeat
|
Florida and Chicago duked it out and the Flamingos came out victorious.
Behind the hitting of Alan Greer, the Florida Flamingos stopped the Chicago Kingpins, 7-4. Greer went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Flamingos. Moe Mentum, the winner, improved to 9-2. He held the Kingpins to 4 runs on 4 hits over 8.2 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 3.
It could have been a different outcome for Florida, had it not been for Ejecto Seato, the 23-year old shortstop . Seato contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Florida up, 2-0.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Seato.
Florida raised its record to 41-24 with the win.
