Walk-Off Win Makes State College 44-21

The outcome was not decided until the very end at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium.
The Swift Steeds grabbed a win, 5-4, at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from California pitcher Chuck Nasty. Nasty went 6.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. State College pitcher Blain K'Spais got the win, upping his record to 5-0. Dusty Conkling got the loss.
Manny Alou was the walk-off hero for State College. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Swift Steeds right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Alou said.
The first-place Swift Steeds have won 4 straight.
