Amarillo had no answer for Anchorage Wheelers starter Bobby Walk, who flummoxed Armadillos hitters as the Wheelers cruised to victory, 6-0. Walk got the win, improving to 7-3. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Walk allowed no runs. With the win, the Wheelers have a record of 35-30.

The Wheelers got a big hit from designated hitter Hogfeather Jones. In the bottom of the fifth, Jones pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 14th home run of the season put the Wheelers ahead, 5-0.
