Flamingos Win at Chicago, 4-0
|
The Chicago Kingpins were defeated, 4-0, by the Florida Flamingos at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, even though Avery Time pitched well for Chicago. The triumph puts Florida at 33-32 for the season.
The Flamingos got a big at-bat from designated hitter Paulie Wag. For the game, Wag was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Florida a 1-0 lead.
Wag called the win "a team effort."
