Primeau Slugs Swift Steeds to 8-5 Win
|
The State College Swift Steeds beat the Florida Flamingos, 8-5, at Florida Man Park. Sebastien Primeau was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. The 21-year old center fielder was a menace to Florida all day. State College starter Nicky Vaseline was credited with the win after throwing 104 pitches over 6.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-6. Scott Justice closed it out for State College, earning his 11th save.
In the top of the seventh, Primeau put his team in front with his 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Skyler Stevens, made it 5-2, State College.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Primeau.
State College has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
