Swift Steeds Lose By a Run at Louisville
|
The performance of Daniel Montgomery proved critical in helping Louisville beat State College, 7-6. The Lemurs center fielder was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Adeline King, who leads the MiLPBE in quality starts with 12, was the winner. He's now 5-4. The loser was Mann Person. Ryan Scott picked up the save for Louisville, his 1st of the year.
Montgomery contributed in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Louisville get the win.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Montgomery told the Louisville Bulletin.
With the win, Louisville upped its record to 36-29.
