Kingpins Pocket 5-4 Win Against Florida
|
The Chicago Kingpins and Florida Flamingos played an entertaining game for The Jose Forty-Three Stadium patrons.
The Chicago Kingpins picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, taking down the Florida Flamingos, 5-4. Starting pitcher Avery Time was a big reason why. Time, the winner, moves to 3-4. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 4 walks. Aventurine locked down his 5th save.
Taiga Saejima dealt the Flamingos a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Chicago leading 4-0, Saejima hit a 0-2 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Time. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
The 4th-place Kingpins are now 28-38, the Flamingos 41-25.
