Flamingos Dealt 8-6 Home Loss
Thomas Saint-John was a major contributor to the 8-6 Kansas City win over Florida. The Hepcats right fielder went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Kansas City pitcher A Bird got the win, upping his record to 4-7. Junior O'Callaghan got the loss. The save went to Poe Poe, his 9th this season.

Kansas City won the game in part because of Kif Kroker. The catcher ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hepcats ahead, 7-6. For the game, Kroker had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

Hepcats manager wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

The loss makes Florida 29-37.
