Starting pitcher Aoife Carter pitched well enough to help the State College Swift Steeds beat the Louisville Lemurs, 4-3. State College reliever Shaq Itoff [BOT] was the winner. His record is now 3-2. Colby Renslow took the loss. Scott Justice finished the game for State College and earned his 12th save.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Turd Ferguson came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Louisville pitcher Colby Renslow, he hit a 0-2 knuckle curve for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting State College on top, 4-3.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Carter.

The third-place Swift Steeds have a record of 33-34.
