Firehawks Stay Hot, Beat Kingpins, 7-1
|
California starter Ryan Veiram put a stranglehold on the Chicago offense. The left-hander had complete command of his circle change in leading the Firehawks to a 7-1 win. The 4th-place Firehawks have won 5 consecutive games.
Chipping in for California was center fielder Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Snek. He stroked a double in the top of the second. For the game, Snek was 2 for 4 with a double.
"It's a mindset," said Veiram. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
