Wheelers Suffer 6-5 Loss to Amarillo
|
Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Misty Morning, the Anchorage Wheelers lost to the Amarillo Armadillos, 6-5. Morning went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Anchorage is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.
Stupei Jiori took Anchorage hurler Alex Kidd deep in the bottom of the third. His 3-run home run put the Armadillos on top, 6-3. In all, Jiori had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Anchorage manager , after yet another defeat, said: "Just different when you have that swimming feeling in your cranium. It's difficult to focus."
