Florida Beats Puerto Rico, 7-3
|
Florida pitcher Stetson Mixon did his part in helping his team beat the Puerto Rico Ranas, 7-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Mixon yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 7-6. The victory gives Florida a record of 38-30.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth for the Flamingos. Coming up with the bases loaded and Florida trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single.
"We took home the win," said Sahur. "What's not to like?"
