Brew City and State College duked it out and the Bears came out victorious.

Brew City designated hitter Yoshinori Akiyama contributed significantly to his team's 7-5 win over the State College Swift Steeds . Akiyama went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bears. The win went to Rufus LaFaro in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Cass Silskrumblin took the loss.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Srevor Tory came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing State College pitcher Porygon Two, he hit a 1-1 cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Brew City on top, 6-5.

"This is a very good team," said Tory. "We have the chance to do something special."

With the victory, the Bears upped their record to 39-30.
