Kansas City Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Geisel
|
Kansas City second baseman Theodor Geisel was sensational. He was 3-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Brew City beat the Hepcats, 6-4. The winning pitcher was Aoife Carter. He tossed 91 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 2 hits. The win puts Brew City at 47-22 this season.
Srevor Tory helped out the Brew City cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3.
"This is a very good team," said Tory. "We have the chance to do something special."
