The timely hitting of Zen Bobrist helped the Anchorage Wheelers down the Puerto Rico Ranas, 8-0. Bobrist went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Wheelers. The Ranas have now dropped 6 straight.

With Anchorage leading 4-0 in the top of the ninth, Bobrist came up to bat against Puerto Rico pitcher Harry Berry. Bobrist hit a sinker to right-center for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Wheelers on top, 8-0.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Puerto Rico manager .
