Bears Walk It Off for 44th Win of Season
The Brew City Bears got a strong performance from pitcher Ryan Alvarez, who stymied the Anchorage offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Brew City reliever Erik Mander picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Kip Treadwell was saddled with the loss. Brew City has now won 3 straight, while the Wheelers have lost 3 in a row.

Lara Croft was the walk-off hero for Brew City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bears designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Brew City manager .
