Nickalus goes 3-for-4 to Power Firehawks Offense
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 20-year old catcher Roman Nickalus, the California Firehawks stopped the Anchorage Wheelers, 7-2, in 9 innings. With the win, California pushed its record to 46-24.
Early in the game, Nickalus had a 3-run home run for California. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Firehawks on top, 3-0.
"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Nickalus.
