The Death Valley Scorpions used the hitting of shortstop Literal Flamingo to subdue the Cancun Toros, 8-4. For the game, Flamingo was 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Now 10-3, the 2075 Scorpions have been phenomenal so far.
The Scorpions got a big hit from center fielder Melo Misteur. Facing Cancun pitcher Ryan Lee in the bottom of the sixth, Misteur pounded a 2-run double to left-center. His 2nd double of the season put the Scorpions ahead, 4-1.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Death Valley manager .
