In a low-scoring tilt between the Chicago Kingpins and the Kansas City Hepcats, 22-year old right-handed pitcher Avery Time was the difference-maker. The Chicago right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Time got the win, improving to 4-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Marcus DaWorm picked up the save for Chicago, his 5th of the year.

Showtime Jones had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Chicago. With the bases loaded and the Kingpins leading 1-0, he hit a sacrifice fly.
