Armadillos Suffer One-Run Loss at Louisville
Owain Gambit-Ahead, who is tied for 3rd in the MiLPBE with a 7.2 K/9 rate, was locked in. The right-hander led the Louisville Lemurs to a 3-2 win against the Amarillo Armadillos at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Picking up the save was Anthony Canet, his 1st. Louisville, at 43-27, is 2½ games up in the East Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lemurs had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when right fielder Samuel Sheeping hit a run-scoring single. The single came off VJ Edgecombe and made the score 3-0, Lemurs. Sheeping went 1 for 4.

Gambit-Ahead called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
