Armadillos Suffer 4-1 Road Loss
|
The Louisville Lemurs rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Michel de Nostredame to a win, beating the Amarillo Armadillos, 4-1, at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. Louisville has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Doug Love had a big run-scoring double for the Lemurs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Louisville leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Junichi Komatsu and swatted a double to left. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lemurs ahead, 2-0.
"It never gets old," said Love. "Winning, that is."
