Joe Kirkland helped his team muscle past the Chicago Kingpins, 7-3. In the game, the Kansas City third baseman went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Kansas City reliever Matt Buster picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Marcus DaWorm took the loss. With the win, the Hepcats sit at 41-30.
Niklavs Stavinskis came through for Kansas City when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike splitter to center field, staking his team to a 4-3 lead.
