Flamingos Score Late to Beat Armadillos, 4-3
|
Florida beat Amarillo at Florida Man Park, eking out a 4-3 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Darius Maxwell. He went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. Florida reliever LaLa Dee was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Pops Dongoria took the loss. Florida now has a record of 41-30 with the win.
Kaladin Stormblessed was the walk-off hero for Florida. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Flamingos third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Maxwell.
