The California Firehawks used a stellar performance from pitcher Massive Unit to throttle the Chicago offense en route to an extra-inning, 2-1 win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The win for the Firehawks raised their record to 43-28.
Ethan Ashcroft came through with a big-time hit for California. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We earned that one," said Unit.
