Wheelers Upend Firehawks, 7-5

Anchorage and California duked it out and the Wheelers came out victorious.
The Anchorage Wheelers withstood a fine game by California first baseman Woop Woop at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons, to upend the Firehawks, 7-5. Woop went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning pitcher was Smoki Zazaki. He's now 6-7. He went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits for the Wheelers. The save went to George Fantobens, number 6 for him.
In the top of the second, Anchorage right fielder Chris Cash Jr. had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Cash Jr. stroked a 2-run single to right-center. It made the score 2-0, Anchorage. For the game, he went 1-5, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"It feels good to get this one," Cash Jr. told the Anchorage Gazette.
The victory puts Anchorage at 28-43.
