Kingpins Improve to 37-35 with 4-3 Win
|
The Chicago Kingpins topped the State College Swift Steeds , 4-3, in Minor League PBE action at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Osaka, Japan, native Osaki Rinji. Earning his 14th save of the year was Mickey Martino. The 4th-place Swift Steeds have lost 4 straight games.
Elly Mint aided the Chicago cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder drove in one run.
"We did a lot of things right," said Mint.
