The California Firehawks could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Ima DudeMan into a win. Instead, the Anchorage Wheelers prevailed, 5-4, in 10 innings. DudeMan threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The Wheelers sport a record of 29-43.

D.B. Barnum went 1-5 for Anchorage. The 21-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Ichiban Kasuga. It was his 16th RBI of the season.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Wheelers manager . "This one was nice to get."
