The Florida Flamingos saddled the Louisville Lemurs with a loss at Colby Koffman Championship Field at The Jungle. The final score was 11-5. Peyton Shoelace was 4 for 5, including 2 singles and 2 home runs. The Florida left fielder scored 3 runs and drove in 3. LaLa Dee, the winner, improved to 3-3. He held Louisville to 5 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The Flamingos bumped their record to 37-35 with this latest triumph.
Florida first baseman Darius Maxwell contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 86th hit of the season and put the Flamingos ahead, 3-0.
