Derek Kirkland brought his A-game to help State College defeat the Anchorage Wheelers, 3-1. Cass Silskrumblin picked up his 10th save of the season. The victory gives the Swift Steeds a record of 39-33.

Faye Tafo-Felia went 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs for State College. The 22-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Teddy Mantle. It was his 43rd RBI of the season.

Afterward, Swift Steeds manager was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
