Anchorage rode a good effort from starter Willie MacDougal to beat the Chicago Kingpins at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The final score was 4-1. Reed Rothchild earned the save, his 5th, for the Wheelers. Anchorage occupies last place in the West Division at 31-41.
Anchorage took a 3-1 lead on Wheyen Shoresie's 6th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Shoresie hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Chicago pitcher Leeroy Jenkins shaking his head.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Shoresie said.
