Walk, Anchorage Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
The Jose Forty-Three Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Anchorage Wheelers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Bobby Walk, who stifled the Chicago offense en route to a 2-0 Wheelers win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. The third-place Wheelers have won 4 consecutive games.
Walk was in the zone all game. He frustrated Chicago hitters while giving the Wheelers 7 innings of quality work. Walk threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Walk said after the game.
