Victory Over Scorpions Takes Cancun to 9-4
The Cancun Toros defeated the Death Valley Scorpions, 12-3, at El Coliseo de los Toros. Cancun catcher Mengie Brolina had a superb performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner was Cancun reliever Michael Dion II, now 2-0. The loser was Always A. Bummus. It was the 9th win in 13 games this year for the defending champion Toros, who are picking up where they left off.

The Scorpions had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Toros going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the four-time All-Star UnrulyRowdyDiamonds AreClearNotCloudy came to the plate. AreClearNotCloudy hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch changeup from Death Valley hurler Always A. Bummus. It was AreClearNotCloudy's 4th double of the year.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," AreClearNotCloudy said after the game.
