Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Flamingos
The Anchorage Wheelers got a superb performance from pitcher Scud Muffin, but the Florida Flamingos still won the game, 8-5. Muffin threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Florida reliever Shaningo Flaps picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Leegull Iztampuring absorbed the loss. Pord Larquad converted his 3rd save in 3 tries.

Had Boyz II Chess, Back Again not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Back Again hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 8-5, in favor of the Flamingos.

"We maximized our offense today," said Florida skipper . "That makes everyone's life easier."

Florida improves to 42-33 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
