Bears Beat Louisville, 7-6
|
The Brew City Bears weathered an outstanding game by Louisville third baseman Smack Miller to topple the Lemurs, 7-6. Miller was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Brew City reliever Rufus LaFaro was the winner. His record is now 7-4. Give'em Daheater took the loss. The Bears improved their record to 41-34 by beating Louisville.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Brew City shortstop Agnes Digital, facing Give'em Daheater, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bears the 7-6 win.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Digital.
