Hepcats Collect 5-4 Win Versus Chicago
|
The Kansas City Hepcats dealt the Chicago Kingpins a 5-4 loss at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium. Isayah Ulibarri was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Kansas City reliever Doc Halladay, now 8-1. The loser was The Phantom. Picking up the save was Joe Degen, his 15th.
Brooks Walker went 1 for 3 for Kansas City. The 20-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off The Phantom. It was his 35th RBI of the season.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Walker. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
With the win, Kansas City has a record of 46-28. Chicago falls to 43-31.
