Swift Steeds Earn 3-2 Win Versus Wheelers
State College right fielder Manny Alou made his presence felt in the 3-2 Swift Steeds triumph over the Anchorage Wheelers. Alou went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. State College goes to 50-25. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.

Alou had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 circle change from Remy Lebeau, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Swift Steeds a 3-2 lead. It was the 11th home run of the year for Alou.

"I felt we were ready to go," said State College manager . "Our pregame was pretty good."
