Late Rally by Armadillos Locks Up 12-4 Win

The Amarillo Armadillos soundly defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 12-4, at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo, with second baseman Eric Hustle a major reason why. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 times for Amarillo. The Armadillos sport a record of 31-45.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Ben Martin came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Anchorage pitcher Greg Buse, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Amarillo on top, 5-4.
"I know we have our doubters," said Anchorage manager . "But I still have high hopes for this team."
