The Puerto Rico Ranas wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Ottov Yeoj, falling 1-0 to the Brew City Bears at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium. Brew City reliever Lots-o'-Heineken Bear was the winner. His record is now 7-0. The losing pitcher was Kerr Mitt. Max Lovehammer notched his 11th save in 15 chances.

Brew City used the timely hitting of Melo Misteur to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bears on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Brew City manager .

The Bears have an impressive 48-28 record.
