Big Day for Warsmoke: Swats 5 Hits
|
Commander Warsmoke exploded for a barrage of base hits today at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod.
The Amarillo first baseman had a field day in the 8-4 triumph over the Florida Flamingos, finishing 5-for-5.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Warsmoke must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Commander Warsmoke singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Extremely Confident in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this season Warsmoke is batting .307 with 17 home runs, 66 RBIs and 50 runs scored. He has 98 hits in 319 at-bats, 31 walks and a .365 OBP. Warsmoke has played in 76 games.
