|
The Kansas City Hepcats handed the California Firehawks a loss at PBE Bigger Strange Podcast Stadium: Home of the Waterpigeons. The final score was 8-3. Slim Mathers was one of the major contributors for Kansas City. In addition to his 1 single and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 5. Kansas City reliever WD Jecker got the win, raising his record to 5-2. Girk Bigglet was tagged with the loss. Joe Degen closed it out for his 1st save.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Mathers hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Hepcats into the lead, 6-3.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Kansas City skipper .
