Indianapolis Pitcher Gets July's Rookie Trophy Monday, August 1st , 2072 Max Lovehammer won the Rookie of the Month Award in the Champions Conference today. After posting 2 wins and no losses in 0 starts during July, the Indianapolis Apex starter seemed an obvious choice for the honor. He struck out 15 and walked 2 in 11 innings and appears to be settling in nicely in the league. If this is any indication of his future success, fans of the Apex are in for a treat for several years to come. Checking out his season stats to date, Lovehammer has 2 saves in 25 relief appearances with a 2-1 record and 3.44 ERA. |
