Slothsburg Fires Shutout in Rougarous Victory Friday, August 5th , 2072 Steven Slothsburg subdued the San Antonio Sloths, 3-0, pitching a 3-hit gem for the New Orleans Rougarous at Full Moon Stadium. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," New Orleans skipper said afterward. Slothsburg registered 10 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his superb performance. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said San Antonio manager after the defeat. This year Slothsburg has posted a 6-8 mark in 20 starts and has a 4.58 ERA.
