LeSwift Sizzles -- Smokes Pathfinders for 5 Hits Monday, August 22nd , 2072 Murphy LeSwift was sizzling at the plate today. The Outer Banks second baseman blistered the Toronto Pathfinders for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to a 6-5 defeat. "LeSwift was too tough to get out today," Pathfinders skipper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win." Murphy LeSwift singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jihmih Beniko in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
