Champions Selects Bummus August's #1 Pitcher Thursday, September 1st , 2072 When Always A. Bummus takes the mound, a Death Valley victory is usually the result. At least that's the way it was in August. He excelled with a 6-0 mark and a 1.88 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 43 innings, fanned 48 and held opposing batters to a .180 average. That's why the Scorpions starter was honored today as the Pitcher of the Month by the Champions Conference. So far in 25 appearances this season, Bummus has recorded 16 wins and sustained 7 losses.
