Postseason Bid Ends for Providence Saturday, September 7th , 2058 It wasn't meant to be for the Providence Crabs this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Crabs reliever James Ronlain. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." Before this season, the Crabs last missed the playoffs in 2056. In the 42 years they have been a Pro Baseball Experience franchise, they have missed the playoffs 20 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Crabs have missed the playoffs 3 times. Providence last won the World Series in 2052. |
