Champions Conference Announces June's Best Batter Saturday, July 1st , 2073 Xicoyotl Montalbán, the Death Valley third baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .329 batting average with 28 hits, 6 home runs, 23 RBIs and scored 16 times. That kind of hitting earned him the Champions Conference Batter of the Month honors for June. Montalbán is hitting .291 this year with 14 home runs, 45 RBIs and 44 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 220 at-bats, 25 walks and a .361 on-base percentage. Montalbán has played in 54 games. |
