Raptors End Detherage's Streak Monday, September 13th , 2066 The Toronto Pathfinders lost to the Boise Raptors 3-1 today at Hammond Park, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Tyler Detherage's 23-game hitting streak. The second baseman went 0-for-4 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Detherage, we would win the game," Raptors manager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." This season Detherage is batting .286 with 16 home runs. |
