Providence Stymied by Sheet Saturday, August 12th , 2073 The Providence Crabs were almost helpless in their 3-0 loss to the Vancouver Vandals and hurler Holly Sheet. Sheet kept the Crabs confused all game, spinning a 8-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Sheet," Providence manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 28-year-old left-hander had no walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Sheet said.
